Alyssa 8 years old - Vertical JumpSCS has a number of exciting events coming up over the next couple of months!

July 7th - The SCS Weightlifting team will be competeing at the Redwood Empire Championships in Cotati, CA.  This epic meet is held outdoors with great weather, a BBQ, and lots of cider!

July 13-15th - Our very own Heidi Fish will be competing at the CrossFit Games held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.  This will be Heidi's third year competing for the title!  The events will be streamed live over the internet so stay tuned for more details.

October 6th - The SCS Powerlifting team will be competing at the San Jose Raw/Classic Powerlifting Meet at Wild Iron Gym in San Jose, CA.  This will be the powerlifting teams first meet and will definitley be worth catching!

October 7th - SCS's very own Andy Levitre, starting left guard of the Buffalo Bills will be playing against the San Francisco 49ers.  The game will start at 1:25pm and you better believe there will be a massive caravan of SCSers heading up to the bay to cheer on Andy aka Moose aka Big Sexy.

Can someone tell me what is a snatch mill?
I tried to google it, but no definitive answers came up

Hey Red,
Snatch mills is on the minute for 15 minutes. For the first 5 minutes use 65% of your max, the second five minutes 70% and the last 5 minutes 75%. Hope all the training is going well!

i've been looking into personal programming as well if you guys do that for satellite athletes.

Hey Red,

On your snatch, focus on keeping a focal point that is straight ahead or slightly up for the entire lift. Your positions off the floor look really good, but as the bar passes your knees try to keep your weight back on your heels and finish your second pull with your shoulders further back behind your hips. On your pull under the bar immediately punch up and receive the weight TIGHT!
